User review As a user of the Amika Straightening iron and having GREAT results with that I wanted to add some more style with a tourmaline curler. The results were great.
Be careful when reading the rest of the reviews of this product. Amika makes products that WORK. If you curl your hair with this IT WILL LAST ALL DAY. The barrel is VERY hot and uses the same proven heating method and materials as the Amika straightening irons, and my hair stays straight using that for DAYS in Florida humidity, so your curl is going to last.
Also it doesn't have a clamp to hold your hair in place to avoid that unnatural "dented" look in your hair where the clamp was present, it also avoids the flat curl/waves that are usual with regular curling irons. While that's great for making your curls or waves look more natural, they should include a thermal glove to avoid the inevitable burns that will more than likely occur. Amika has their products' heat settings very high,even with the straightening irons you can get burnt, and their heating plates aren't exposed all around.
I would suggest buying this product if you plan to have enough time to curl your hair. Don't use this if you're in a hurry, you will get burned. However if you want to use it when your in a hurry, buy yourself a thermal glove.
Bottom line, do your research, study the product and know what your comfortable with. Check the malls in your area, they usually have a kiosk or hair care store that allows you to try out the product and see how it works for you.

User review I'm not sure why this product received negative reviews because it's AMAZING! It's the only curler that works on my pin-straight hair, and the curls hold all day without hair spray! Simply wrap your hair around the barrel, hold for 3-5 seconds, and release. Plus I love that the barrels are made from tourmaline/ceramic, NOT metal, so they don't fry your hair. Phenomenal value for 3 curlers in one.
