Interviewer: I'm here to ask you to walk us through your absolute favorite look for New Year's.

Jerrod: New Year's! New Year's is all about celebrating what was, but also looking towards what's going to be. And we all know the jackpot on New Year's Eve is a kiss, right? It's going to happen.

So I love - making sure skin is flawless and luminous. Luminous being the word for New Year's. You want that perfect candle light finish. Go for my Candle Light Powder. It's the perfect thing to actually absorb oil through the night, because you're going to be partying honey! You're going to be drinking.

So touch up with an oil-absorbing powder that also is going to give you some luminosity. So that is Candle Light. Love it. It looks great on all skin tones.

And we've got to make sure whatever we wear is going to stay put, especially as you're partying. Honey, you want to look just as good at 12:00 midnight as you do at 6:00 a.m. when you're trolling home in your sequin dress and throwing your heels out.

User review For reference, I have olive skin and I tan very easily. My facial skin is generally lighter than the rest of me, because I'm more conscientious about sunscreen there, but my face coloring is in the Medium range, even at my palest. On my skin, this powder is gorgeous! It's finely milled, and highly concentrated, and it seems to melt into my natural undertones. A tiny dusting looks great, and lasts for hours and hours. This is exactly like Absolutely Invisible, with the addition of a slight golden shimmer milled into the powder. The shimmer is probably from a very finely ground mineral. I think something has to be finely ground in order to get "shimmer", so this does have luminescent particles in it. It is not what I think of as "glitter", which is exactly what I'd hoped for, because glitter, sadly, never looks good on me. I think of Glitter as bigger chunks of sparkly things that are noticeable as chunks. Glitter is the enemy of my pores, and the cause of ashiness in oiler areas, so I avoid it. The "glow" in this isn't something that when you get close you see actual particles sticking to my skin. The closer you are, the less you see the powder. It appears completely sheer and invisible. However, when light hits my face, at any angle, from any kind of light, my skin appears to be illuminated, and it really does look like candlelit warmth. I use this to set my sunscreen, beneath a primer and foundation, or just beneath foundation, and I also use it to set foundation, and to touch up my face when it needs it (rarely, with this powder). If applied lightly it creates a healthy, morning sunlight kind of look, and if applied heavier and layered with blushes or bronzers, it can create an intense glow. In all cases, this powder is brilliant. It's a huge size in a fun compact for a great price. Another clever, fun, and best of all, flattering product from Too Faced!

User review I tried out the product during the day and once at night. I will say it is a nightime wear out to go somewhere type makeup and not so great for everyday use. If you want a more natural look like me you are not going to like all the glittry specks of gold int the product that spreads all over throughout the day and is more noticable during the day. I you are looking for a product that looks more natural and can be used daility I would recommend the Fresh twilight primer. Gives you a glow and plus it primes so two birds with one stone!. I don't usually get too concerned with prices but this one was average for a face powder pact.
