Drawing on Charlie Chaplin’s “The Circus” for her Spring 2010 collection, Julie Haus enlivened a black, white, and grey palette with pops of cheerful color and flirtatious layers of silk and lace. To play off the feminine details in the collection, Stila’s Sarah Lucero focused the deep wine shadow Pigalle on the lower lid for an edgy finish. Lashes were loaded with Major Lash Mascara in Black, and lips were bare except for lip balm and a hint of concealer. After a reviving dose of ARCONA skincare, a simple dusting of Hydrating Finishing Powder kept the rest of the face matte and refined.
Oscar Blandi matched the breezy spirit of the collection, creating a bed head look with plenty of volume and definition. After prepping hair from roots to ends with Acqua Marina Styling Gel, tresses were blown dry with a diffuser for casual texture. Shine was added with Seta Silk Polishing Cream, and the whole look was set with Lacca Hairspray for Volume and Hold.
Deborah Lippmann was on hand for nails, and once the gun metal shade Hit Me With Your Best Shot was dry, the polish was smudged around the edges for a rock and roll treatment. Spring 2010 at Julie Haus is looking playful, pretty, and just a little wild.
